Coroner Identifies 32-Year-Old Man Killed in Rosalia Drive Shooting As Ismael Gardea
BAKERSFIELD, Calif.– The Kern County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the man who tragically lost his life following a shooting incident on Rosalia Drive as 32-year-old Ismael Gardea.
The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 1300 block of Rosalia Drive on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at approximately 10:51 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Gardea in the driveway of a residence, exhibiting apparent gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of responding personnel, Ismael Gardea was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department.
