Her coaching prowess extended to the international stage, where she served as a Team Canada coach for prestigious events like the IAAF World Youth and Junior Championships and the World University Games. Locally, she was a guiding force for Team Ontario and the University of Windsor Lancers, nurturing championship-caliber talent.

Beyond the arena, Denise was a cherished educator with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board for over three decades, impacting lives both in sport and academics. Her extraordinary contributions were recognized with an appointment to the Order of Canada in 2017 and a well-deserved induction into the Windsor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
