Ismael Gardea,Coroner Identifies 32-Year-Old Man Killed in Rosalia Drive Shooting
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the victim of a fatal shooting on Rosalia Drive as 32-year-old Ismael Gardea.
The tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at approximately 10:51 p.m. Bakersfield Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Rosalia Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, responders discovered Gardea in a driveway, sustaining what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite immediate efforts, authorities pronounced Gardea deceased at the scene. The Bakersfield Police Department has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
