It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of Stephen A. Rizzo, age 47, of Quincy. Steve passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and countless friends who are deeply shaken by this loss.
Born in Stoneham and raised in Lynnfield, Steve was a proud graduate of Lynnfield High School (Class of 1996) and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Salem State University in 2002. He had called Quincy home for the past eighteen years. Professionally, Steve served as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Liberty Mutual Insurance for thirteen years, demonstrating dedication and leadership.
Steve was known for his passion for fishing, his talent in the kitchen, and his love of dining. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband to Suzanne for twenty-three years and a loving father to Dylan, Brooklynn, and Baylor. His family was his greatest joy, and he actively supported their activities and achievements.
A memorial Mass will be held at Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy on February 7. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Steve’s children’s future through a dedicated GoFundMe page. His kindness, steadiness, and love will be deeply missed.
